Famous Youtube Channel Taken Over by Bitcoin Scammers

The Youtube Bitcoin scam is supposed to be in the same pattern as of the previous twitter bitcoin scam. Although the source of the attack is not yet been discovered, these back to back attacks seems to have some connections with the Twitter case.

Quick Details about the Twitter Bitcoin Scam

Recently a sequence of scams happened through verified official accounts of personals like Barack Obama, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Joe Biden and Kanye West. The scammers made the scam perfectly timed across social media and collected more than $100000 in a day. The scam posts included a bitcoin address and a caption that said, “Everyone is asking me to give back. You send $1,000, I send you back $2,000.”

The post was from the official twitter handle of Bill Gates, one of the richest person and influential billionaires in the world. Who would thought things might go wrong, Right? But It did went wrong. The posts didn’t stop until It popped through most of the famous and influential people’s twitter handle. At the end of the day, Everyone became aware of the scam and some officials stated that a group of hackers got access to the accounts through social engineering into the official staffs of the company- Twitter.

Not only these couple of accounts, but more than 130 twitter accounts were hacked.

Famous Indian Youtuber’s Channel Got Hacked?

On July 25, Two famous youtube channels were reported to be posting unusual contents through the videos. One of the channels belonged to a famous Indian Youtuber Ajey Nagar. He reported his channel to be controlled over by someone else on Saturday when an unusual video related to bitcoin or cryptocurrency was posted(not by him) to his second channel related to gaming- Carryislive.
